You may have heard that iaedp is now requiring all certified supervisors to include 3 hours of continuing education specifically about supervising in order to recertify. But they didn’t offer anywhere to get those CEUs.
Enter my latest brainstorm: Secrets of the Supervisors!
Fiona Sutherland and I are teaming up tomorrow, May 15th, 3-6pm central time, to make your life a little easier – we’re hosting a 3-hour live, online workshop dedicated to supervision for eating disorder professionals, and it will be recorded if you’re unable to attend.
We’ve called it Secrets of the Supervisors because not only will it fulfill the iaedp supervisor renewal requirement, we’ll be sharing what we do behind closed doors and computer screens.
You’re welcome to attend even if you don’t have the CEDS-C credential. You don’t need a CEDS at all, and you don’t even have to be actively supervising yet.
Secrets of the Supervisors will be helpful whether you’re an experienced supervisor or hesitantly considering jumping in, because supervising is often done in isolation, without anyone to chat with about ideas and concerns.
So if you ever feel like you’re winging it in supervision without much (or any!) guidance, join us to:
– Hear from others doing similar work.
– Enhance your ability to keep supervision a safe space for both you and your supervisees.
– Discuss ways to kindly prompt supervisees toward their own professional (and sometimes personal) growth.
– Learn our strategies for managing the challenges inherent in the supervision role.
If you can’t attend live, sign up for the recording.
And whether you attend live or watch the recording, you can check that 3-CEU requirement off your list for the next 2 years!
Supervisors of any profession are welcome to attend Secrets of the Supervisors and will receive a certificate of completion for purposes of iaedp certification renewal.
CDR pre-approval is pending for 4 CEUs for RDNs.
