Need to Get Away? I’ve got some suggestions

I didn’t plan it this way, but it’s working out perfectly – all the momentum from having a fabulous first Dietitian Speakers Make More Money Workshop is propelling my enthusiasm for the speaking travel season that’s about to begin.

First I’m headed to St. Louis with Healing Your Inner Eater at the NetworkED conference. The conference is September 13-14 (Friday-Saturday) and Healing Your Inner Eater is the all-day workshop on Saturday. It’s new and different from any continuing education event you’ve every attended. Join me if you’re in the area or need to get away for a couple of days. Sign up here: https://networked.ce-go.com/gateway-to-innovation/agenda# and let me know if you have any trouble.

I’m excited to see so many friends and colleagues there.

Then in October I’m headed to Boise to commune with the Eating Disorder Professionals of Idaho. We’re doing something fun and different there, too – a morning version of Healing Your Inner Eater and then an afternoon of case consultations and advanced eating disorder topics.

They’ve opened up their event to anyone, so even if you’re not an EDPI member you can register here: https://www.edpidaho.com/events/event-four-bm2s2-mksr4-zrsrz-8lj3e-wbtny-8yhbm-7mpmy-ljat7

If you plan to come to either event, of course tell me so I know to keep an eye out for you.

And if neither of those is convenient for you, let’s talk about bringing Healing Your Inner Eater to you. It’s the perfect pre-conference workshop for a dietetic association or eating disorder event because it’s great for anyone who eats or works with people who do. And it’s a bit more lighthearted and interactive so it’s a good transition at the beginning or end. You can always reach me at [email protected] or send a joint email to me with the conference planner. I’m looking ahead to 2025 and excited to see what the next chapter looks like.

Next, if a beach vacation is what you need right now, I have two suggestions. One is the Nutrition Travel Exchange that I’ve told you about before. The main hotel in Cancun is closing for renovations next year, so you want to get in on this before the end of 2024. It’s an almost free vacation at a super high-end resort and you get to bring a guest. Check it out if you haven’t already, because additional hotels may be added for 2025.

My other suggestion is the International Conference on the health risks of youth. It’s in Puerto Vallarta in January, and it’s sort of the Jimmy Buffett of conferences – a beach vacation with some education on the side. I’m pondering going and holding the next Speaker Workshop at the same time…

Which leads me to my last item, which is that the Dietitian Speakers Make More Money Workshop and Coaching Program is going to open for the next cohort. If the timing wasn’t right last time, this group will start in October and run through May. I’ll be telling you more in the next few weeks as I reflect on the last four months with the inaugural group, and if you wonder if it’s a good fit for you, please definitely get in touch.

I love to hear from you, and hope we’ll be together in person sometime in the coming months.
